Project64 features emulation of the Reality Signal Processor, which was reverse engineered by zilmar.

This information has produced an accurate interpreter that has turned in to a recompiler by jabo, setting it apart from some.

Included are four MIPS R4300 CPU emulators, with dynamic recompilers for 32-bit x86 and 64-bit amd64 systems, and necessary plugins for audio, graphical rendering (RDP), signal co-processor (RSP), and input.

Daedalus is named after the craftsman at King Minoss court who designed the labyrinth for the Minotaur.

The emulator currently uses dynamic recompilation of the N64 machine code to PowerPC (the GamecubeWiis ISA) and full hardware accelerated graphics to achieve (near) full-speed emulation in most instances.

The Project started back in 2003 initially by Hotquik and now maintained by smasherx74.

It is one of the top Nintendo emulators arround that you can get with a high game compatibility rate.
